PALMERSTON POLICE AND BYLAW CASES.

Police and by-law cases were dealt with in the Magistrate’s Court to-day by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M. Robert Sutherland Taylor was charged with having used an -unlicensed motor-cycle, and also with driving a motor-cycle without being the holder of a driver’s license. On each charge he was fined 10s., costs totalling 6s. For leaving his motor-car unattended in King Street, Leslie R. Gray, who appeared voluntarily on the information of the borough traffic department, was fined 55., and was ordered to pay 3s. costs.

Failure to attend drill under the Defence Act was an offence for which Frank ‘Meadows was fined £2, with costs 15s. .
