Carterton, October 6. The headmaster reported at the monthly meeting of the Greytown School Committee that the average attendance for the September quarter was 18 in the secondary department, and 239 in the primary. ' The roll numbers were: Secondary, 20; primary, 280. The primary average was one short of the number required to give the school another teacher. The recent hockey ball at Greytown showed a profit of £lB 15s. 10d., which ■vill be shared equally between the girls alid men’s hockey clubs... At the annual meeting of the Greytown branch of the League of Mothers, the following officers were elected:—President, Mrs. W. A. Tate; secretary, Mrs. F. C. Bunny; auditor, Mr. H. Walden. I The Greytown Miniature Rifle Club s trophies for the season have, been awarded as follow:—Ladies: Gold medal, Miss T. Workman; handicap prizes, Mrs. Hawkins. 1; Mrs. Tilson, 2: Mrs. Tully. 3. Challenge cup, Miss Roband. Seniors: Gold medal, E. Faflrell; handicap prizes, H. Leppien. 1; R. Hill, 2; W. Tully, 3: R. Tilson, 4; H. Tilson, 5. Juniors: Gold medal, S. Workman; handicap prizes, M. Hobson, 1; R. Millen, 2. The Carterton Miniature Ttifle Club's trophies for the season have been won as under.—Mr. W. Howard Booth's cup for highest aggregate: W. Press. Ladies' aggregate: Miss E.
