f. TOWN AND COUNTRY Sister Butler, who has been in Wellington for a few weeks, has returned to Masterton. Mrs. C. F. Vallance, of Kahumingi, Masterton, has returned from a visit to Lowry Bay, Wellington. Miss Helen Laing, who has been visiting Dlrs. S. L. P. Free, S.M., at Mastertou, lias returned to Ashburton. Dlrs. 11. J. Wardell has returned to Masterton from a trip to Lowry Bay, Wellington. Mrs. McDiannid, of Mastertou, gave an enjoyable party on Monday afternoon to Mrs. Davies, who will shortly leave Masterton for England. The engagement is announced of Margaret, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adams, of Mastertou, to William Charles, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Brown, of Masterton. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Gorton, of Feilding, have left on a motor trip to Hamilton, via New Plymouth. Miss I. Cooke,’of Marton, lias just returned to New Zealand from a holiday abroad. Mrs. V. Harman has returned to Palmerston North after a few days’ stay with Mrs. G. Lyons, Kopane. Mf. D. Netibegin, of Hastings, was in Palmerston North for the races. Mrs. Mabin, sen., of Wellington, is visiting her son, Mr. Mabin, Tokomaru. Mr. and Mrs. F. Gowiug, of Wellington, are visitors to Palmerston North. Mrs. Walker and Miss Walker, of Feilding, are spending a holiday in Christchurch. MADAME MENERE’S THANKS.
