PLUNKET MEDAL DEBATE
The annual Plunket medal contest of the Victoria College Debating Society will bo held in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall on Saturday at 8 n.m. The judges are Hon. Sir Charles Statham, Ml’.. Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.P.. ami Professor W 11. Gould, M.A. The contestants and their respective subjects are as follow; C H. Arndt, on Sir George Grey; J. C. Gilbert, Benito Mussolini; W. J Hall. Charles Dickens; H R Bannister, G. R- Powles, Duke of Wellington; W. P. Rollings, Daniel O’Connell; C. E. de Montalk T A B. Kosciuszko. The winner will receive the Plunket medal, which was endowed in perpetuity for the society by the late Lord Plunket when Governor of New Zealand.
