A few days ago we received from Mr. J. Mackenzie, Seaward Downs, a real “freak” swede (says the “Southland News”). This swede was an almost perfect replica of a human hand, the palm, thumb, and four fingers being perfectly reproduced. Apart from the fact that the swede shows a touch of dry rot (late infection) it is in good sound condition and of fair size.
