GIFT TO BRITISH NATION (Rec. July 27, 7.30 p.m.) I London, July 26. ’ Mr. T. Calder, director of Allsopp’s Brewery, has offered Hill CO, consisting of seven acres, ns a gift to the nation, in order that it may become “forever England.” He explains that he bought it in 1921 for £4OO for a memorial to the London Rille Brigade, but the scheme collapsed. He leaves the manner of dealing with it entirely to the War Office. He points out that the •recently advertised land adjoins the hill.—Sydney “Sun” Cable. _
