The visiting team wore unfortunate, as they were undoubtedly robbed of an innings victory, despite their brilliant; batting; keen fielding, and steady bowling. The New Zealand bowlers were handicapped by a wet ball, but did very well for all that. Kiluer was out leg before iu the last ball of AlcGirr's first over after lunch. Ho had been at the crease for a hundred minutes, and had hit eight 4’s. Parsons and Croom were quickly dismissed, but Quaife was at the wicket for two hours before Merritt followed up his earlier successes and got' him, eventually bringing disaster to other Warwickshire batsmen. He clean bowled Calthorpe when the total scorewas 175 for seven wickets, but thirteen runs later there was a torrential downpour ot rain and the "match had to bp abandoned.
