PAVING PLANT

, OVERHAULING WORK. The city engineer, reporting to the City and Suburban Highways Board yesterday upon the paving plant, stated that the No. 1 plant was under overhaul and renewals were being effected where required. The machine would be ready for sendee towards the end of August. The No. 4 plant, now at Trentham, was about to be transferred to a site adjacent to the City Council quarries at Ngahaurauga. The preparation of the site was at present being .carried out. This machine would be ready for an early commencement on the West Coast highway to Tawa Flat.
