PASSED BY HOUSE OF LORDS Rugby. July 26. The third reading of the Trade Unions Bill,' which declares general strikes illegal, was carried in the House of Lords yesterday. Some of the Liberals, including Lord Reading, joined .with the Labour Peers in voting against if. One important amendment of the definition of intimidation has been made in the Bill during its passage through the House of Lords. It Is understood the Government is prepared to accept the lords' amendment, which will be .considered by flic House of Commons on Thursday.
