SUDDEN COLLAPSE

DEATH OU WELL-KNOWN BOWLEK. Dominion Special. Auckland, December 30. During the progress of a game of bowls at the Springs Ground, Helensville, this morning, )Mr. Oldham Oxley (aged about. 64), a resident of Devonport, suddenly collapsed. He died within a few minutes and before the arrival of a doctor. Mr. Oxley was a very well-known resident of Devonport. He had been a regular visitor to tho Springs for a number of years. He was staying at Parakai House, with Mrs. Oxley. The sad event cast, a gloom over tho holiday community at Helensville, and all sports were suspended in consequence.
