Colonel G. Powles, of Palmerston North, is spending the holidays with relatives in Wellington. Mr. Kibblewhite, headmaster of I'.ketahuna school, who has been transferred on promotion, was the recipient ol presentations from the staff and pupils: Mr. 11. M. Bennett, of Napier, is leaving on a trip to England in the New Year. Mr. C. J. Steevens, Registrar of Pensions at Napier, has been advised of his appointment to the Gisborne pensions district.
