NAVAL PENSIONS
FRESH PROVISIONS Pensions in respect of death or disablement of members of the New Zealand Naval Forces are placed on the basis of war pensions by an Or-der-in-Council issued last night. It is provided that, where a member of the naval forces dies from misadventure during the performance of his duties, his dependants may receive an allowance from the State at rates' not exceeding those that would be pavable had he been a member of the forces within the meaning of the War Pension Act, 1915, and his death had been due to services with those forces. A similar provision is to apply to disablement allowances. Applications for pensions have to be made to the War Pensions Board.
