The Hon. O. J. Hawken (Minister of Agriculture) left for the south on Saturday night to attend the Southland Agricultural Show at Invercargill. The Hon. W. Nosworthy (PostmasterGeneral) arrived from the south yesterday. , Colonel Potter was a passenger for Auckland last night by the Limited express. Colonel Greenhough left for Auckland bv last night’s Limited. The friends of the late Hon. W. D. S MacDonald are erecting a fine tribute to his memory in the form of a uvanite monument, which will stand in close proximity to the vault of the late Sir lames Carroll (states a Press Association message from Gisborne).
