NOTES ON HUTT PARK MEETING Although the grass track was thrown open for fast work at Hutt Park on Saturday morning, it was not availed of to a great extent. Brian Bingen and Azelzion did strong work in company over two miles The former is engaged in the Nai'Nai Handicap for straightout trotters, and Azelzion is in the mile saddle event. Ena Black is obviously backward. She was set to run a mile in saddle, but failed to leave the mark correctly several times. Ttii Wildwood did practice work at the barrier and gave a varied display. This mare has speed, but is unreliable. Beatty, in harness, and a Brown Pearl maiden in Whitby’s stable went a good mile, the latter in saddle. They came home the last half very well. Blijck Palm (trotter), Matenga, and Hori Dillon wept well over a mile and a half. Zoloch Palm finished in front of Jingal at the end of a mile and a half. The time was not particularly fasrt. A number of visitors from th<j South Island arrived yesterday. W. L Tompkinsdn’s team landed in goo/ order, and consists of Holly Hoy, T’ete Pete, Wliakuku. and Amazon. }/. E. Mills brought Prince Pointer, E'otuku Jack, Festive Morn, Goldfinch, tind Cornelian. H. W. Aker’s team alsfc. arrived, consisting of Native Quce/j am} Waitaki Girl. M. B. Edwardfe brought Black Admiral and Great ijficct. The latter is an unstanding chestnut gelding engaged in the Nat Nai Handicap. D. Rogers’s charge, Ping Boy, landed in good heart. S. 'Roe arrived from the north vesterday *,vith Holiora and Roamer. W T. brought Azelzion down on Friday. . ’Brian Bingen also arrived on Friday i/i charge of C. Oliver. The shovyers which have fallen have kept the track in great condition, and visiwng trainers are loud in their praise the training facilities provided. ,

Tbfy bulk of the visiting horses will arrive to-morrow morning, and it is practfa’Av certain that all the acceptors wi'# go to the post. A number of owne#; and trainers are now expressing Tfegret that thev did not accept in the /Speedway Handicap.
