MIGRATION TO NEW ZEALAND
LARGE MOVEMENT THIS YEAR (Rec. October 26, 10.35 p.m.) London, October 25. The number of assisted immigrants to New Zealand in 1926 will be a record for half a century. The total to date is 9340, which, with eight further, batches, will aggregate 12,300, of whom ninetenths are nominees. Difficulty is experienced in obtaining a sufficient supply of experienced farm labourers to satisfy the requests.
