Acting under instructions from thw Minister of Marine, the District Coroner this morning held an inquiry into the disappearance of Charles \\ . Coleman, a horse trainer, from the steamer Barawa on September 1 on a trip from New Plymouth to Onehunga. . After hearing evidence by a jockey, a steward and the captain of the vessel, Mr. McKean said that there was no evidence to show that Coleman had com'niitted suicide. Ho was drowned at sea. Nobody saw him leave the ship, and there was nothing to show how he got into the water. A verdict was returned accordingly.
