additional grants. According to the Supplementary Estimates presented to the House yesterdav, an additional £lOOO is to be allowed for repairs, alterations and docking, etc, to H.M.S. Diomede. A similar sum is provided for the conversion of Fort Takapuna into a naval magazine, and for the erection two 5000-ton oil tanks at Takapuna an additional £4220 is voted. A further £2500 is granted as the initial expenses of a trawler to be used for training purposes, and £U<J is set aside for the training of New Zealand ratings in gunnerv, torpedo, etc, establishments in the United Kingdom. . .
