DEBENTURE SALES TO AUSTRALIA By Telbgkafji. —Press Association. Christchurch, July 13. The sale of A'50,000 worth of Christchurch Drainage Board debentures, bearing 52 per cent, interest, was mauc yesterday to a Sydney buyer. Tho board has now disposed of <£677.600 worth out of the loan issun of <£700.000.. The total sales mentioned include, however, tne sale of ,£200,000 worth to a Melbourne buver. which is still the subject of negotiation. The first debentures sold by the board under its loan authority totalled <£198.400 at 5} per cent. It then found it necessary to increase the rate cf inteiest to 53 per cont.
