PLAYER SUSPENDED FOR LONG PERIOD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, July 12. At a meeting of the Otago Football Association to-night the incident in connection with the Maori Hill-High School Old Boys match played the previous week was reopened.. When the case camo before the association last Monday night, the referee stated that ho was jostled by a player named Martin and struck by someone whose identity was not known to him. At to-night’s meeting the evidence of two witnesses was heard to the effect that Martin wna responsible for the blow struck. After some discussion it was decided to suspend Martin until the end of the 1927 season instead of until the end of the 1926 season as decided at ’.be previous meeting.
