LOAN FOR SPAIN
KING ALFONSO’S MISSION TO LONDON London, July 11. The "Sunday Express’s” diplomatic correspondent savs that it is believed that King Alfonso will not leave London empty-handed. Though Britain could not agree to his chief request, namely, to support Spain’s claim for a permanent seat on the League of Nations Council, it is understood that arrangements are being made in London for an international loan of thirty to forty millions sterling to Spain. Large orders for British rolling-stock and transport material will follow.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
