FILM CENSORSHIP

YEAR'S OPERATIONS During the year 1935 films, of a total length of 4,666,610 ft., were censored. Of this number, 22 were rejected wholly, 131 passed subject to excisions, and 13 passed lor adult audiences only. There were but two appeals against the decision of the censor in regard to censored films. In one instance the Appeal Board upheld the censor’s decision, and in the other the appeal was allowed, subject to an excision in the film.
