CONCERT FOR SEAMEN
At the Sailors’ Rest, Waring Taylor Street, a concert was given to the seamen in port by the combined Bible classes and choir of the Brooklyn Baptist Church. The programme was arranged by Air. W. Kec-bie. Musical items were rendered by Airs. Soden’s string band, and songs and recitations bv Mrs. Gryll, Ferguson. Stockbridge, Alessrs. Teboon, Pennington, and Gully. Anthems were contributed by the choir. After summer was handed round a brief talk on devotional lines by one of the members was given, and it brought the close of an enjoyable evening.
