Francis Joseph Tanner was given six months for a similar offence. George Edward Barter was sentenced to three years in the AVaikeria reformatory tor theft of drugs, accused having previously been on Roto Roa Island on account of his drug habits. AVi Henaro Aupqwu was sentenced to six months foi indecent assault at. Rotorua. ' Harold Waterloo Bell was ordered to come up for sentence on February 6. He would probably be discharged then if he made good the amount he had stolen. Horace Vincent Byrne Speight was given two years’' probation tor (heft of liquor, in the Britomart Hotel case on condition that he took out a prohibition order and paid .£5 costs and .£5O to the owner of the bond store by Instalments. Prisoners were sentenced at the Supreme Court to-day as follow:—Archibald Frederick George Brooks, aged 21, for obtaining a motor-car by false pretences, reformative treatment for two years; Wallace James Clifford True, alias Clifford Hodges, aged 28, for theft, twe years’ reformative treatment; Frank Hardy Francis, for theft while a Gov. ernment servant and forgery, two years reformative treatment.
