THE 1927 ROYAL SHOW

WHERE TO HOLD IT. “That the conference should direct that whilst agreeing to Auckland having tho Royal Show this year, in future, Royal Shows should only be held at Palmerston North and Christchurch alternately”; and "That this asoeiation is of the unanimous opinion that the Royal Shows should be held alternately in Christchurch and Palmerston North, and further, if the piesent policy is persisted in of holding the show in each of the four centres, the Royal Society will be unable to carry on through lack cf support,” were the text of the remits considered by the conference of the Royal Agricultural Society yesterday. Mr. J. E. Howitt (Mangamaire) pointed out that the remits amounted to a vote of -no confidence in Auckland, where tho Royal Show was to l>e held in 1926. His amendment: "That the question of where the 1927 Royal Show is to be held shall be decided by the council of the society.” was carried.
