FEILDING NOTES

The Mayor, Mr. Wt E. Carthew, presided at the annual meeting of the Feilding branch of the Plunket Society. The annual report and balancesheet was presented, speaking to which, the chairman congratulated the outgoing committee on the very able manner in which they had carried out the work of the society during the past year. The Feilding branch now had a Plunket nurse of their own, and Miss McAndrew was congratulated on the splendid work she had done since her appointment The chairman stated that the society would be very materially helped if they could get more members at ss. per annum. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patroness, Airs. W. E. Carthew; president, Mrs. A- Sugden; vice-president, Mrs, S. E Wnlnole ■ committee, Mesdames A. H. Atkinson, A. Bonsfield, H. Burrell, A. Dowrick, W. Gibson, N.- Gorton, T Green, 1. L. Mills, A. Sporle, J Stalker, G. Turnbull, and Miss Adsett; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. J. Stalker. Mr. and Mrs. L. J Wild have returned to Feilding from New Plymouth Mr. and Mrs. Duthie are visiting Wellington. Mrs. F. Carthew, of New Plymouth, is the guest of Mrs. W. Perry, Highden. Mrs. Atkinson, of Patea, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hare, Awahuri Road. Miss Webster is visiting Wanganui.
