New Zealand’s purchase of the British Medical Council’s building has revived the controversy concerning the propriety of Epstein’s eighteen statuettes, which stud the facade of- the first floor. Years ago there was a strong objection to them on the ground that they should not be exposed to the public gaze, being more fit for a scientific gallery Questions were even asked in Parliament.
