4 MANAWATU 1926 COMPETITIONS. Palmerston North, April 9. Entries for the Rugby competitions under the jurisdiction of the Manawatu District Council will close on Tuesday next. It is not known here what Woodville’s position is, but it can be taken for granted that if the proposed new Ruahine Union comes into being (consisting of sub-unions of Dannevirke, Pahiatua, and I‘ongaroa), Woodville will throw in its lot with it, as the headquarteis of the union are set lor Woodville. As far as can be gathered at present, prospects of teams entering for the various competitions are: Senior (4): Kia Toa, Old Boys, West-ern-United, Feilding. Junior (6): Old Boys, Kia loa, West-ern-United, Feilding, Jackeytown, Palmerston North llign School. ■ Third grade (10): Kia Toa, Old Boys (2), Western-United, Feilding, Jackeytown, Bitnythorpe, Technical, Old Boys, (1 almerston North), Feilding, High School Old Boys, St. Patrick’s. (Bunnythorpe mayn enter a ,innwr team and Palmerston North Boys iligu School a third.) Third grade (6): Jackeytown, WesternUnited, Kia Toa, Palmerston North Boys’ High School, Feilding. and St. Patrick’s. . , „ . , Fifth grade (8): Technical School (2), Albion, Phoenix. Kia Ora, Gordon, West End, St. Patrick’s. Sixth grade (4): Albion, Ma Ora, Gordon, Phoenix, with a possibility of the primary schools again competing as in 1924. ___________
