REDUCED CONSUMPTION SINCE WAR. London, March 28. The fact that the consumption of alcohol in Britain has been considerably less since the war is revealed in the’ latest figures, ’’’here has been a reduction of 14,000,000 gallons of spirits and 7,000,000 barrels of beer. On the other hand, there has been an increase of 5,000,000 gallons of wines. The expenditure last year was £7 4s. per head, or slightly more than £315,000,000 m all.
