SCOUTS’ JAMBOREE

Br I'ELEGRXPn— Puess Association Dunedin,' January 18.

The first Exhibition jamboree of Boy Scouts was held at Logan Park to-day, when about 1100 lads gave a fine display of scout craft and exercises. The whole gathering assembled round a look-out tower 92 feet high, erected by the I’etone troop. Colours were flown from a masthead and hakas were given. After the National Anthem had been sting and the salute given the troops dispersed to various parts of the ground,, and each gave a demonstration of some department of scouting, Red Cross, signalling, bridge building, attack and defence. There were also athletic sports. A large and appreciative crowd witnessed the operations. General Andrews. Dominion Chief Commissioner, arrived in the camp to-night and was met by a guard of honour.
