The Wanganui Surf Club had given a demonstration of life-saving work, and the tide was running out when two young men and a girl were found to bo "in difficulties, but ths life-saving team on dutyeffected a rescue quickly. Earlier in the day a young woman, who found herself in difficulties, was brought ashore by members of the club. The day before, club members were called upon to deal with two other similar cases.
