WHEAT AND FLOUR
CONDITION FOR IMPORTATION ' The Minister of Agriculture made an announcement yesterday relative to the importation of wheat and flour in the imineih'ate future. Notwithstanding the recently gazetted prohibition of importation, general permission is granted for the importation of wheat, flour, wheatmeal, and ground wheat, if imported on or after January 18, subject to the following conditions:— That such wheat, flour, wheatmeal, or ground wheat can be shown to the satisfaction of a collector of Customs to have been ordered from abroad not later than January 17, and that it be imported into New Zealand not later than January 31, 1926. That except in the case of fowl wheat admitted under permit free of ordinary Customs duty, all such goods shall pay tue ordinary'duties. That all such goods shall comply with the regulations under the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, 1908.
