DETAILS OF TUPURUPURU PURCHASE

Further details of the negotiations for the purchase by the Government of portion of Tupurupuru station, near Masterton, for closer settlement, show that a block of 1200 acres has been chosen. The price is said to be £lB per acre. The total area of the station is approximately 8000 acres. It is understood that the property twill be taken over within the next month or two to suit the convenience of the vendors, the trustees of the estate of Sir Walter Buchanan, as regards the sale of stock, etc. Meanwhile, the work of surveying for subdivision will be taken in hand immediately.
