AVELLINGTON CLUB. Afcmbcrs of the Wellington Golf Club plavcd a bogey match for the Victoria Cup on Saturday, the best card being given in by J. D. G. Duncan, who was 6 up on bogey, followed by A. D. Morris, 3 up. and K. Duncan, Al. Duncan, I. MacEivan, and O. J. Wilson, vho were all square. J. D. G. Duncan has been playing very steadily, also winning the stroke competition last week with 71, net 68. The handicap committee have, accordingly reduced bis handicap from 3.2 to scratch. Th? best card in the bogey handicap was W. Blundell’s 4 up. Next Saturday there will bo u mixed foursome for- the Islington Cup. The following matches in the first round of the Ward Gup tournament have still to he played:—J. W. AVard v. R. G.. Booth; N. R. Chapman v. D. Al. Findlay; J. C. Peacock v. C. Howden; E. C. Battersbv v. Arthur Young; E. Pago v. C. J.’ Rcakes; H. P. Blundell v. K. Douglas; R. W. Kirkby vq| L. AVhitcombe: K. Dunean v. I. AlacEwan; C. J. Nathan v. J. B. Parker; C. Richardson V. A. Strang; C. W. D. Bell v. H. Alorton; B. Edkins v. G. G. Callender. These matches are to be played off by November 29.
