Four thousand Swazi warriors, in full war dress, drawn up in lines Lav a mile long, gave a Royal salute, ending in a shrill, p'ercing whistle. The paramount chief, Sobsuza, did the honours, wearing a smart grey lounge suit and grey hat. He was assisted by the Queen Mother, whose head-dress included the red feather of the rain maker, for which she is famed.
