TO FISHERMEN’S SEARCH FOR BAIT Br Telegraph—Press AssociationThames, June 13. Further information regarding the two fishermen supposed to be drowned last week shows that bait was scarce, and it was decided that Silveria and Hansen should go’to the Great Barrier for bait. Local fishermen consider they reached the Barrier safely, but on returning to t.’.ivier Island’ the launch met the full furv of the easterly gale, and in attempting to turn back for shelter it swamped. The police at Port Charles and Whitianga arc keeping a sharp lookout for any trace of the men or launch.
