SPEEDBOAT CHAMPION
. 4PLANS TO CROSS ATLANTIC IN 48 HOURS. (Rcc. May 22, 8.20 p.m.) New York, May 21. Gar Wood, the speedboat champion, says he is laving plans to attempt to cross the Atlantic in 48 hours from Newfoundland to Cowes iw 1927. To do this his boat will have to maintain n speed of 00 miles per hour, and refuel from a steamship stationed at • sea. Wood is also planning a speedboat capable of doing 100 miles an hour.— Reuter.
