WHY SHUNTERS TAKE RISKS By Telegraph-—Press Association. Wanganui, May 22. An inquest on the body of Gilbert Tremaine, a shunter who died as the result of haying both legs run over, was held to-day. The Coroner recommended tliat a departmental inquiry be held, in order that att expert estimate of the circumstances' might be made.
A shunter who gave evidence alleged that shunters Avere harried by “blisters’ and consequently Avere disposed to take risks in order to get their Avork through.
