WELLINGTON CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING ROUND The entries for the Wellington Golf Club's championship qualifying round, two rounds of 18 holes, played at lleretaunga, were not numerous, and the scoring, in view of the perfect conditions of course and weather, was not particularly good.

JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. Fewer than the 16 required to qualify played. Of these, J. W. Brodie returned the lowest net score. PROFESSIONAL PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP Professionals from New Plymouth to Oamaru are entered for the Wellington provincial professional championship commencing on Tuesday. Most of them were practicing at Heretaunga during the week-end. Mclntosh did a 70. The professionals present were: J. A. Clements (Hagley), 11. R. Blair (Shirley), G. B. Forrest (Timaru), G. W. Ritchie (New Plymouth), B. J. Smith (Oamaru), R. C. Butters (Wanganui, J. R. Galloway (Palmerston North), T. Galloway (Miramar , F. G. H<Md (Miramar), A. J. Shaw (Wellington), J. Mclntosh (Hutt), and H. Green (Heretaunga.
