The, “Daily Express” reports that nine miners were imprisoned in a flooded mine near Swansea. A sudden inrush of wated occurred in the Dunvant Colliery late last night. It is believed to have been due to the storm and heavy rains. Seventy men succeeded in escaping, many wading waist deep to the shaft. Ono miner was brought to the surface dead. The nine remaining are known to be in a most inaccessible part of the workings, and their retreat is cut oft. The survivors report that black-damp is present.
