SOUTH OF ENGLAND AND SOUTH AFRICA DRAW. London, September 5. The South of England, playing against South Africa,_ declared their second innings closed with 218 runs for eight wickets. Hobbs, who scored 34, completed his second thousand runs for the season. Calthorpe scored 42, and Gilligan 35. Catterall took three wickets for 48 runs, and Meintjes three for 83.
