CRUISER BRISBANE AGROUND
NEAR PORT MORESBY ' —; (Rec. July 23, 9.45 p.m.) Melbourne, July 23. A radio message has been received stating that the - cruiser Brisbane is ashore near Port Moresby. No details were given.—Press' Assn. ON ISLAND CRUISE (Rec. July'24, 1.15 a.m.) Melbourne, July 23. A Port Moresby message states that the Brisbane, which was on an Island cruise with other ships of the squadron, struck at 9.30 in the morning near Bootless Inlet, twenty miles from Port Mores'fv, and two miles from where the Pruth was wrecked. Tlie naval collier Biloela and thej mission steamer John Williams are »roceeding io the spot.—Press Assn. BRISBANE REFLOATED (Rec. July 24, 1.15 a.m.) Port Moresby, July 23. The latest information states that the Brisbane has been refloated.— Press Assn. 1
