Sir Percy Cox informed Fethi Bey that according to instruction from London he was unable to modify his position. If Fethi is unable to give way and abandon the claim to Mosul Vilayet Sir Percy Cox’s orders are to return immediately to London. If the Turks continue obdurate it is expected that Sir Percy Cox will propose that the matter be referred to the League of Nations. Fethi will probably refer the matter to the Angora Government further instructionsThe Turks continue agitated, and it i s alleged that an Italian naval concentration is taking place at Rhodes. It is further reported that Turkey has demanded an official explanation, failing which it will be compelled to take requisite counter measures. — “The Times.”
