REDUCTION BILL SIGNED. (Rec. June 3, 10.45 p.m.) Washington, June 2. President Coolidge has signed the Tax Reduction Bill, which reduces the levy of the Federal Government on almost every taxpayer, and especially benefits those with a small taxable income. It reduces by 25 per cent, the taxes on the 1923 incomes payable this year. More than s score of excise and miscellaneous taxes will be repealed within thirty days.—Reuter.
