At a meeting of the Management Committee of the (Lago branch of the Educational Institute, the resolutions were passed: (i) inis branch has no confidence in the present scale because salaries are attached to the position, not to tho | eacl^r . (~) Tins branch emphatically pretests against tho decreased maxima of senior assistants under the new scale, niasmnch as they are really a third cut to salaries attachiim to these positions; (3) This branch strongly protests against the revocation of elause 23 old'regulations, which is based on tho grading of a district high school on Ix,th secondary and primary dcpaitinents. The amended regulations provided for grading a district high school on tho primary department alone, thus lowering the salaries of assistants in that department. —1 ress Assn.
