NURSEMAID’S PRESENCE OF MIND
The infant child of a well-known official of a AVellington local body, had a narrow escape at tho Hatatai-Kil-birnie tramway junction last week. Tho nursemaid was wheeling the baby across the tramline after a tram-car had passed, and did not notice , a second car coming until it was rightupon them. With great presence of mind she gave tho go-cart a hard push bevond the car, and lot go, falling in a faint on the other side of the. road. Neither tho child nor the nursemaid suffered any injury.
