BUILDING BY-LAWS
A building conference to be attended by Government and private architects, representatives of local authorities, of the Forestry Department, and of the sawmilling and building trades, was to have opened here on May 6. An advisory committee appointed to make preliminary arrangements met yesterday, however, and decided that on account of the railway strike the opening of the full conference should bo postponed to Juno 18. The conference. when it meets. >s to discuss the standardisation of building by-laws, and other matters affecting the regulation of the building trade.
