CITY OF SYDNEY LOAN
London, April 25. The Citv of Sydney has issued a £1,000,000 loan at 5 per centum in fifteen year debentures, at 971, repayable at par in June, 1939. The loan was fully subscribed, and the lists closed at 9.20 yesterday morning. It was later stated that the loan had been heavily oversubscribed. The “Financial Times” says: “Sydney has not been a frequent borrower on the London market. The now issue, although not a trustee investment, is of excellent standing, and well worth acquiring. Its yields are attractive under the present conditions.” —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
