Some discussion took place last night at the meeting of the Afanagement Committee of the Wellington Football Association in regard to the matches with th© fleet. It was pointed out that the railway strike would interfere with the match against New Zealand, and another match against' a AA’ellington team would have to b© substituted, so that there would be two contests on Saturday next and Alay 3 run under the management of the Wellington association. The question of entertaining the players is in the hands of a committee, and the suggestion most favoured was that a dinner should be tendered to the players on Alay 3, the attendance being limited to 100. A meeting of the special committee is to be held and if the necessary arrangements can be made the gathering will be carried out on the lines mentioned.
