RUSSIAN FINANCE
LOAN FROM ENGLAND NOT INDISPENSABLE BETTER RELATIONS DESIRED By Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. Moscow, April 21. M. Trotsky in an interview, declared that Russia is a reliable debtor. She wanted to get money from England, but it was not a question of saving Russia, which could dispense with such aid if necessary. _ “We want to establish better relations with capitalistic countries. But why should they require us to being Communists, when we do not demand that they shall cease to be borgeois ?” The Soviet would, he said,, try to avoid hostilities with Rumania, provided that Bessarabia was given the opportunity of self-determination. M. Zinovieff. in a speech, declared that if the demands of the British bankers represented England’s minimum, there was “nothing doing.” Russia would make great concessions for a loan, but not so great as to be held in thrall. —Reuter.
