“ECHO FROM THE UNDERWORLD”
4 — “This case may be described as an echo from the underworld,” declared Mr. N. A. Foden in the Magistrate s Court yesterday, when appearing for Blanche White, who was charged with using decent language. The existence of a feud between defendant and a neighbour had been responsible for the trouble, added counsel. Acting-Sub-Inspcctor Lander said that the case was brought in the nature of a warning, as complaints bad been received of the way defendant was conducting herself. The Magistrate (Mr. E. Page, S.M.)
recorded a conviction and ordered defendant to come up for sentence when called upon. •
